/FROM THE MANAGER
Summer is here and I hope everyone is keeping cool during this Texas heat.
Although I have met many of you, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Jason Panos and I joined the team at KLVJ as the General Manager in March. After working in the legal field for over 15 years, I decided to make a change and have enjoyed switching gears to the world of aviation and airports.
Our Awesome Airport Team has been busy making numerous improvements and changes in recent weeks and months. Just a few of the improvements include:
A completely upgraded fuel farm
New fuel trucks
New self-serve terminal which includes the ability to dispense Jet-A 24/7
Shell branded FBO which includes being a Shell Aero Class rewards provider
New courtesy car
Partnership with GoRentals which is also a CAA provider for rental cars with outstanding ramp side service
For those of you that have had the pleasure of meeting Trevor Espersen over the years, Trevor has recently been promoted to Assistant Manager and is doing an outstanding job in his new role. Joe Lovuola joined the team as our newest Line Service Technician, offering great customer service. Welcome aboard, Joe!
In other news, the T-Hangars we manage are currently full and we have a very healthy wait list. If you are hoping to get into one anytime relatively soon, give me a call for full details and join the list now.
Our ramp space is very tight for tie-downs and we will soon be creating a wait list for those as well. Again, if you have any interest in acquiring a tie-down spot soon, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly to discuss the details.
If you notice surveyors out and about, the airport is currently having a complete drainage study done of the entire airport to plan for future projects and development. Stay tuned.
Finally, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we navigate these strange times. 2020 has been a crazy time for everyone but we are all in this together! I hope that everyone is staying safe and the Airport Team is certainly doing its part by keeping things sanitized and wearing our masks. While I certainly recognize that there are different opinions regarding masks, please understand that we are adhering to the current order in place by the State of Texas. Please remember that when entering the FBO a mask is required for anyone over the age of 10. If you need a mask, we are happy to provide you with one; just give us a call while you wait at the entrance door and we will bring one to you at no cost. Anyone entering the FBO without a mask will be asked to leave.
Again, thank you for your continued "Pearland Patronage" and I personally want to say if there is anything I can ever help with, please never hesitate to reach out. I look forward to serving this wonderful airport community and family!
Happy Flying,
Jason Panos
General Manager
